Habit Thing
Two weeks ago I went to my gym parking lot and sat in my car. I was too lazy to workout. Just the thought of running made me tired! At church, past Sunday, I learned that in order to routinely do anything, you must first make a habit of doing that thing. Through this process, that particular "thing" becomes easier to deal with. I agree and acknowledge that I need to make running a daily habit.

Running away
If it feels like the world is closing in on you, try running. Go for a jog around your neighborhood or a park. While running, try to look at natural green and blue colors. This appears to relax, at least my, eyesight and relieve some stress! It works for me so I wanted to share it with you. Go ahead, give it a try, just do not forget to look, also, at your running path! Stay safe and enjoy nature while running.

Super Lite!!
I tried some new running shoes today. They were Nike's. I was simply amazed at how lite they were. My current running shoe's really need to be replaced, now! These shoes were awesome. I did not get the model name down but I am certain athletic stores will carry them. Super Lite!!!

Humidity
I find it difficult to run in humid weather. Here, in California, we do not encounter humidity very much so it makes it even more difficult when I do encounter it in other places. I guess it's simply because I'm not used to it. One of my friends told me of playing sports in humid weather and just how difficult it was. It's quiet uncomfortable. Adding shoe's and socks to that weather makes it even more unbearable. While on a mission trip to Belize, I played basketball in humid weather and did not do so well. I was sweating more than usual and was very uncomfortable. The humid air felt like a heavy weighted burden on me! Drinking cold water helped and that is what I kept doing. During basketball, I took breaks to cool down and I think that was smarter than to continue playing.

Running in Water
I have heard that running in water is good. Supposedly, it is better than running on pavement or treadmill! I have tried it and, yeah, it did feel good. My muscles seemed to move effortlessly and the water helped in keeping the body cool. Not all of us can run in water but I will certainly advice you to try it. I wasn't wearing any shoes but I think water shoes should be worn. I remember that my feet felt dry and were hurting a little. Maybe this was due to the chlorine in the pool! I have to try running on the beach barefoot. I heard that's good also, as long the beach is clean and safe.
The Necessary Rest
Daily running is good for health. It may also energize the body to perform at its optimum level. But resting is also good for health and will also help your body perform at its optimum level. I find that resting for one day in between runs helps me recover and feel better. I also seem to run better, longer, and faster after a period of rest. Try resting for a day and notice the difference.

Running for Stress
Regulating stress in our lives is a huge task. Some people are good at it whereas others need help. Running seems to relax me better that any other stress relief remedy out there. I have tried to drink tea's and alcohol to relax but it could not compare to running. I get my Nike's on and run. My dad had always told me that running relax's you. My friend used to call this feeling "runners high". Truly, that is what it is. It helps in feeling good about yourself. It does melt stress away. Lets run!
Run Because You Can
Do you feel fortunate to have legs to run on? I thank God for my health all time. I have seen, and I'm certain so have you, individuals on wheelchairs trying to play sports. They try no matter the odds! So I run because I can. I run because it is healthy. I run because it helps me look better. These all great reasons to run. Please continue running.

Trail running
Its not easy to go rugged! I've witnessed runners having harsh falls on trails. We often forget that we aren't on paved road. Trail running shoes are a necessity. I have tried Nike's and Adidas. I liked them both. But it's how you land your foot that does the trick. Please be watchful and keep your eyes on the trail. Know of obstacles before your encounter them. My best rule was to take a hike on the trail before you begin running on it.
Running at age 8
Running is really good for health. As if I needed to remind you of that! I started running at the early age of 8. I used to run uphills with my dad at 4am!!! Yikes, my dad used to wake me up and take me running that early in the morning. He was a cop and was brought up in a military style household. His dad used to do the same to him. Needless to say, this habit came to a stop in my teenage years. I refused to get up at that time. I never really gave up running though. I continued but now I'm really trying to push myself even harder than before. My best timing so far was 2miles in under 12 minutes. That was when I had purchased a fresh pair of Nike running shoes. The shoe's are where the running seems to be at. You either have good running shoe's or you don't.
